Coba

Coba is about an hour inland from Tulum.  It's not fully excavated--walking along the jungle trails between groups of buildings we'd keep passing these big mounds with a few stones visible: likely more ruins.  It also boasts the highest temple in the Yucatan--12 stories, if I remember correctly.

Dunno what these things were, but they were all over the trees at Coba.  Believe me when I say that this was just a SMALL group of them--some trees were nearly covered!

Looking down from the top of the temple.  (Yup, those are the steps we climbed!)
